David Meriwether (1800-1892) was born in Virginia and raised in the wilds of Kentucky. He was a trader on the upper Missouri, a buffalo hunter, a prisoner of the Spaniards in Santa Fe, a farmer and key member of the Kentucky legislature. With several black & white photos and a foreword by Meriwether's grandson, John H. Graves. Edited and with an introduction by Robert A. Griffen. Indexed.
